The LaFerrari
The LaFerrair is the newest car from Ferrari, this car is very different from all of the other Ferraris made at the moment. This is a hybrid car, well that’s kinda true. It has a 6.3 liter V12 engine that makes 789 horsepower that id fitted with a pair of electric motors that make 161 more horse power. Bring the car up to 950 horse power. The electric motors work like a F1 KERS system, so when the car brakes the kinetic energy is stored into the batteries for a boost of power around a corner. The car will hit a top speed of 217 mph. Ferrari will be making only 499 of them and they already have 1000 orders for the 1.6 million dollar hypercar.

Over the last couple months there have been tons of new cars that have been show cased for the upcoming years here are my 2 favorite!

2014 Chevrolet SS

This is Chevys return to a four door rear wheel drive sedan. The reason I love that is that RWD is more for a driver and is way more fun than front wheel drive. The car will have 6.2 liter V8 from the corvette with 415 hp. I can’t wait for this car!

2014 CTS

The CTS is one of my favorite cars, it’s another RWD car that really wants you to enjoy the ride yet this car with the right engine is a monster. This new model is competing against the BMW 5 sedans and other German foes. But the reason I love it some much is like BMW and Mercedes its RWD! They haven’t gone to fwd or all wheel drive RWD is better for the driver and just more fun!

5 cars that you can’t get in the USA
There are 100 hundreds of car makers all around the world and many do sell cars in the USA. But due to some reasons, the US governments regulations on safety and co2 output or that the car company just don’t think it will make money. Overall that’s too bad because there are tons of amazing and funky cars being old around the world today that American drivers can’t have. Here are 5 of the ones that I would want to have sold here.
Noble M600
The Noble M600 handbuilt British mid-engine supercar made by Noble Automotive made from stainless steel and carbon fibre. The engine is a twin turbocharged Volvo V8 which it made by Yamaha. The Noble has a top speed of 225mph and will go 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. A key factor to why I would want this car to be sold in the US is that it doesn’t have ABS and comes with a manual transmission. This makes the car lighter and more of a driver’s car. The cost is $330,000 dollars.
Holden HSV Maloo R8

Holden is an Australian car maker that is a part of GM. In the past GM has shipped Holdens over to the USA with a Pontiac badge on the car. This was done with the 2004-2006 GTO and with the G8. But the Maloo is a car that would just fun and crazy to have. It’s like a old Chevy El Camino a car with a truck bed. You would be able to haul a good amount of stuff and be able to go very fast. The engine is a 6.2 liter V8 that makes 435hp, it is the same engine that in the Corvette. This truck has world record for fastest truck with a top speed of 175mph, the cost is $60,000 dollars

Ford Ranger
Now Ford has just stopped selling the Ranger here in the USA but Ford will be selling the new one all around the world. I wish this truck was coming to the US because I think a lot of people don’t always want a bigger F-150 with a small engine, that’s what Ford wants you to buy instead of a Ranger but maybe they will get smart and start selling it here one again because it is a very handsome truck.

Morgan Roadster
Morgan is another British carmaker that sells many cool cars. But all of them look like they are from the 1940 and 50s. But they are very cool and handmade as well. The Roadster does cost $63,000 dollars and comes with a 226 hp 3.0 liter V6 that will get you up you 60 id 4.9 seconds, you will feel like you are in the 1950s which isn’t a bad thing if you like old cars.

Pagani Zonda Tricolore
Pagani is a Italian car company that hasn’t even been around for 20 years yet has made some of the craziest cars ever. The Zonda which Pagani just stop making is really a crazy car. It has a 7.3 liter V12 from Mercedes that makes 670hp with a top speed of 220mph. The reason I love this car is that it has the most insane looks and the most insane noise. The cost of this car is a pricey $1,960,000.

Great Scott!!

Today in Orem, Utah we got a good amount of snowfall. Most of the snow was in the morning with quite very scary driving on my way to school. I have a 4x4 so it wasn’t a problem for me. I went to school and when I was leaving from my first class of the day I saw that someone had drove this to school today. It was a DMC Delorean, a lot of people know this car from the movie Back to The Future! Seeing this rear wheel drive car in the snow made me laugh but who ever drove this to school today is my hero. I don’t think he will be getting the car up to 88mph today though...

My Top Favorite Cars

To start of my blog I thought I would start on a more personal level of having a list of some of my favorite cars ever made. Now some of these cars I have never even seen but for some reason I still love them, just from reading and learning about them I have come to adore them. These cars are dream cars for me and they are in no order at all, so just because the Ford GT is at the bottom means it’s my least favorite. But here it is I hope you enjoy!

1971 Plymouth 426 ‘Cuda

To me there has been no greater class of car for me than muscle cars. For those who don’t know what a muscle car is it is usually a 2 door coupe with a huge engine in the front. But there is more to a muscle car than just that, have just have a personality about them that makes them different from the other cars on the road. They can be a bright color to the most simple of colors. What makes these types of cars really great is that they are cheap. When I say cheap I mean cheaper than some supercar with a $100,000 price tag on it. They are a way for anyone to have a fast fun car that will have people turning their heads as you drive by! So my first car love on this list is the 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda with the 426 cubic Hemi engine in it. This body style came out in 1970 and for 1971 was given 2 more headlights a different grill and shark style gills on the side. This was the only year of the ‘Cuda that had these features. The car could do 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds which was very quick at the time! I could go on and on about this car but I will be short. But overall the reason I love this car is just way it speaks to me and is just telling me it wants to drive fast on highway 66. Worth today $120,000-$150,000

Aston Martin DB5
Where to start on this car well it’s an Aston Martin DB5 made from 1963-1965 I hope most of you know this car from the James Bond films, it was the very first Bond movie Dr.No, Goldfinger and was brought back for Casino Royle and Skyfall. This car really is perfect for a spy I mean just look at it, it is pure car pornography! This is one of the cars I would die for. I was powered by a 3.7 liter or 4.0 Inline 6. This engine produced 282 Brake horse power and had a top speed of 143 Mph. I have heard many things about this car be rubbish to drive but I just don’t care I want one more than anything. Only 1,023 of these were made making them very rare. Value today: starting at $225,000 to $325,000

 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
The 1969 Camaro was the second year of the car being made and what makes me love this car is just it one of classic muscle cars that everyone knows about. The 1969 body just look like it was moving even when it was still. It came with many engine sizes but the one I would have is the 427 cu in V8. When I want a car I want the body to look great and I just have to have the biggest engine that it comes with. If you where to get one of the smaller engines which is fine one day a guy is going to pull up next to you with the big 427 engine and he will destroy you in a race. Yes it will cost more but hey this is a dream car you should get anything you want. Value today: depends on the engine you get but they range from $18,000 at the way up to $350,000 for the most rare ones

1970 Plymouth Superbird

Just look at this car, it is so ridiculously cool. It’s just another muscle car that I have come to love over the years. The Superbird started life as a Plymouth Roadrunner body then had a more aerodynamic nose put on as well as the towering spoiler. These two things made this on the fastest classic muscle cars ever made. There were two engines that you could have in your Superbird, the first being the 440 engine and the famous 426 Hemi.  They used these cars in NASCAR and they destroyed every other car on the track. This car was a big reason why NASCAR banned aerodynamic ads that where are cars. In fact the only reason Plymouth made road going versions of these car was because NASCAR rules stated that the car in order to be allowed to race must be sold to the public as well because of this fanatic rule 2,783 of these beauties where made, it is said that over 1000 of them are still on the road today! Value today: starting at $85,000 and goes up to $300

Aston Martin DBR1
I have always loved old racecars from the 1950’s. The way they look with their open tops and round bodies always caught my eye. There where tons 50’s racecars but the one that sticks out to me the most is the DBR1. This car raced from 1956 to 1959, and in 1959 it had its most famous win which was the 1959 24 hours of Le Mans. Two every famous people drove this car in the 50’s the first being Carroll Shelby, know today as the guy to built the Shelby cars with Ford like the GT500, the other driver being Sterling Moss. The car was powered by a Straight-6 rated at 250 hp. If I could be a race car driver it would be in the 1950s racing this car. Value today: Well not too long ago they were selling for $10 million but I just read an article in a magazine saying that one of the owners of this car has gotten offers of $20 million but he wants $30 million.

1969 Pontiac GTO The Judge
The Judge that just sounds cool, The Pontiac GTO has always been one of my favorite cars ever made. First being a crazy looking muscle car and that back in the day if you where to buy this car and drag race it as is without doing anything to it, you could win. It is just has everything a muscle car should have a crazy name, a crazy paint job and a insane 400 cubic engine that made 370 horse power. I love everything about this car, I even love that it headlights are covered by the grill, and this was the last year for this body style.    Value today: $55,000 to $75,000

Ferrari F40
If I had to pick one car that truly was my favorite supercar then it would be this, the Ferrari F40. The F40 was produced from 1987-1992 with 1,315 of them made. This was the last Ferrari to be commissioned by Enzo Ferrari himself, the founder of Ferrari. Back in 1987 the car cost $400,000 dollars but due to the demand of the car some owners are to have paid $1.6 million.    The reason I have worshiped this car like a god is that it’s so simple that it makes it better than any car made today. It didn’t have a radio, carpets, electric windows power steering it was just a driver’s car. The door handles where a piece of string. It really is a go-kart for big kids. It was the first car to be made from carbon fiber. The F40 was powered by a 2.9 Liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 471 hp. If I ever have the money to afford this car there will definitely be one in my garage. Value today: $400,000 to $600,000

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 2011-
The first modern car on my list! It’s the crazy SLS. Mercedes made this car as a spiritual successor to the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. This really is a car for crazy people; if you take it on a track you will destroy the tires in a cloud of smoke. But you will have a blast doing it. I’m not sure how I feel about the gullwing doors. Yes there are cool, but they attract a lot of attention. This isn’t an Italian supercar that is supposed to be flashy, it a grand tourer which will take you from coast to coast just living the dream. I do love this car so much I think it is just crazy with its 6.3 liter V8 that makes 571 brake horse power. It has a top speed of 197mph which should be perfect for cruising. The SLS real party peace is the sound like makes, it sounds so dirty. Value: well they just starting making this car but base price starts at $190,000

1969-1970 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
Well… it’s a Mustang. There had to be one this list of my favorites for many reasons. First off it’s really the car that got me in to car when I was like 5 or so. It just has stuck with me of being one of my all times. For me I would have the 1969 GT500, I know a lot of people would rather have earlier mustangs. But I just love this body style so much more than the 1964-1967 bodies. I love its crazy love hood and its oversized grill. I love its engine which is a 428 cu in V8. Really it is just another muscle car that would die for. Value today: $65,000-85,000

1964-1967 Shelby Cobra MKIII
The Shelby Cobra started life as an AC Ace. AC was a British sports car maker and sold their Ace body to Texas racer Carroll Shelby. What he did with the car was amazing. He took this very light car and put a big V8 in it. Because the car was so light and had that big engine it was fast, scary fast. If I would to pick my favorite engine ever put in this car it would be the biggest, the 427. I’m a guy that thinks that bigger is better. But I love this little car, I love open top 2 seaters. Value today: $675,000-$825,000

 Jensen Interceptor
My next car that I wish to have would be the Jensen Interceptor. The Jensen was made in England from 1966-1976. It was powered by a 383 or 440 cubic in engine from Chrysler. In my opinion this is just a beautiful British sport car. It has that magnificent Italian styling and a super powerful engine. Though it was only made in right hand drive markets you can get one here in the US by people who have imported them. Value today: $24,000-$50,000

Land Rover Defender
To me Land Rovers are the best off road makers in the world. A lot of people think that the Range Rover is just a city car that can’t handle anything but that isn’t true at all; the brand new Range Rover can go through 3 feet of water! But my favorite Land Rover is the Defender. These have been made in some form since 1948. But they where only sold in the US from 1993-1995 and 1997. They came with a hard and soft top. The engines where a 3.9 and 4.0 liter V8 that would make around 200 horse power. The reason I love this is easy, it’s a big off roader that can go anywhere and it just looks like it should be in Africa on safari. In many ways it’s like a Jeep Wrangler. But if you drive this you can stick out from the hoards of jeeps running the streets and truly drive something wonderful. Value today: $25,000-$60,000

 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
The 1970 Challenger was the first year for Dodge to start selling it and it was almost too late in the game to compete against the Mustang. The 1970 model is by far the best looking of the 4 years they made it just because of the grills. There were many engines you could have in this car but the best where the 440 and 426 Hemi. These really would be the car for a long cruise down the highway in, and man you will look good driving it. Really the Challenger and the Cuda from Plymouth where the same car but the Challenger was a little smaller but they shared the same frames and engines. If I had to pick between the two cars I just don’t think I could do it, I would have to have both. Value today: $65,000 to $150,000 the convertible will go for $450,000-$600,000

Ferrari 458 Italia
Another Ferrari! Now that is good looking car. This would be the car for every little boy has to have a poster of in there room cause by god its pretty. Even though it is probably the best looking car made right now Ferrari made it to aerodynamic and able to turn corners well. A lot of the times to much aerodynamics will make a car look dumb and ugly but they did a great job on this. The 458 is powered by a 4.5 Liter V8 making 570 horse power. The 458 will go from 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 203mph. Prices start at $230,000

1962 Chevrolet Corvette
Every car guy has a favorite Corvette mine is the 1962 model. This was the year before they changed into the stingray with flip-up lights. The reason I would pick this one of all the others is the 4 lights and the huge grill really make it for me. Every Corvette has a special place in my heart but I would take this one above them all. The 1962 was powered by a 327 small block V8, power was from 250 all the up to 360. Value today: $38,000-$140,000

 Lancia Delta Integrale
This little car is a Lancia, Lanica is Italian car maker that is famous for having made a lot of rally cars and winning the World Rally Championship 10 times! This is a recorded that still stands today! This little car won 6 of those titles back in the day. The reason I love this little car is that it looks great and that it is just a winner. It really was the last great Lancia, today they just sell rebadged Fiats and Chryslers which makes me really sad. The Delta was an all wheel drive car powered by a 2.0 liter 16 valve turbo making around 220 horse power. As of now you can’t get one of these in the US, as soon as the car becomes 25 years old you can ship one over.

Porsche 911 GT3
911s are the sport car that you drive everyday to work and be happy. But the one I would have you won’t want to. The GT3 is a striped out track day model of the 911. The radio is an option in it, it has roll up windows and the door handles have been made from straps. Porsche wanted this car to be very light and fast on a race track. To me it sounds like good old fun and that’s why I want one! The GT3 is powered by a 3.6 liter H6. This little engine makes 435hp and has a top speed of 194 getting from o to 60 in 4 seconds. Starting price $115,000

Ford GT
My last car on my list and it’s a very special one. The Ford GT, Ford wanted to recreate the GT40 from the 60’s in a modern supercar. Really they did do a good job, the car looks a lot like the old GT40 but yet modern. The reason I would have this car is that I love retro designs and supercars so this really fits well. It’s also a very good looking car, it looks like it’s ready to race a Le Manns. The GT is powerd by a 5.4 liter V8 and made 540hp. The top speed was 212mph. Value today: $150,000-$200,000

Welcome to my dream about talking about cars!

Hi my name is Greg I’m a college student and my biggest passion is the automobile. To me cars are the best thing in the world and I want to share the knowledge I know about all these great cars. In my blog I will go over what makes a good car what makes a bad car. I want to show people cars of the history and how we got here today. Some of the best YouTube videos have to do with cars and I will be sharing those as well! Thanks and enjoy.
